Salt Lake Bees Defeat Memphis Redbirds 10-5 - PCL

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Memphis, Tenn. – The Salt Lake offense showed up in a big way  Wednesday afternoon in the Bees 10-5 win over Memphis at AutoZone  Park in front of 13,496 fans. 
 
 
 
 The Bees scored three runs in the first two innings before scoring  six runs in the fourth and chasing Redbirds starter Mark Mulder, who  was on a rehab assignment. Salt Lake pounded out five hits in the  sixth, including a pair of homers from Freddy Sandoval and Terry  Evans. Adam Pavkovich’s solo home run in the sixth made it 10-0  Salt Lake. Sandoval finished the day with a team-best three hits. 
 
 
 
 Memphis rallied for four runs in the seventh inning with D’Angelo  Jimenez’s three-run double. Nick Stavinoha added a solo home run in  the eighth inning. Mark Johnson and Jarrett Hoffpauir led the  ‘Birds with two hits each. 
 
 
 
 Mulder took the loss for the Redbirds after giving up nine runs,  seven earned, on nine hits in 3.2 innings. The lefty walked one and  struck out one while throwing 80 pitches, 47 for strikes. Giancarlo  Alvarado earned the win for Salt Lake with six scoreless innings. He  walked three and struck out five to notch his second win of the  season.
