Salt Lake Bees Survive Rally by Memphis Redbirds for 9-7 Win - PCL

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Memphis, Tenn. – Salt Lake held off a late Memphis rally to beat the  Redbirds 9-7 Tuesday night at AutoZone Park.

The Redbirds rallied from a 7-1 deficit to tie the game in the  bottom of the eighth inning. However, the Bees scored a pair of runs  in the top of the ninth and closer Jose Arredondo quickly ended any  hopes of another Memphis rally in the bottom of the ninth with a  1-2-3 inning. Dee Brown scored the go-ahead run in the ninth on a  Mark Worrell wild pitch and Ryan Budde drove in an insurance run  with a single to center. Terry Evans went 4-for-4 and Kendry Morales  belted a three-run homer to lead Salt Lake. Five different Bees had  multi-hit games in the team’s 16-hit attack.
