Erie SeaWolves Drop Fourth Game in a Row After Loss to the Harrisburg Senators

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – The SeaWolves fell to the Harrisburg Senators, dropping their sixth straight game, on Saturday night by a score of 9-0. The shutout loss was the second of the season, and the homestand. The loss brought the SeaWolves record to 15-20.

Erie starter Ben Fritz was solid through the first three innings of the game but ran into trouble in the top of the fourth. After retiring the first two hitters of the inning, Justin Maxwell and Luis Jimenez singled to put a pair on for Jorge Padilla. Padilla was hit by a pitch to load the bases for Ofilio Castro. Castro tripled down the right field line, scoring all three runs, giving the Sens a 3-0 lead. Devin Ivany followed with a base knock, scoring Castro, for a 4-0 Harrisburg advantage.

Harrisburg then added four more runs to put the game out of reach in the top of the sixth. Jimenez doubled with one out and was doubled home by Padilla for a 6-0 lead. Padilla finished the game with four RBI. Castro then singled home Padilla to make it 6-0. Ivany then connected on his second home run of the season for an 8-0 Senators lead.
