The Keys tied the ballgame in the second inning with a two-out Ryan McCarthy RBI-single. Wieters began the onslaught though with his solo drive to put the Keys atop 2-1 in the third inning.

That was quickly followed by Rowell's first Carolina League home run, an opposite field shot heighten the Keys lead to 3-1. Rowell would go 2-for-4 with four RBI's on the night. He has now driven home 13 runs in just 17 games this year.

Leading by four runs in the sixth inning the Keys put the game away when 2B Chris Amador hit his third home run of the season, a soaring three-run home run to enhance the Keys advantage to 8-1.

At that point Arrieta, who didn't pick up a win in his last two starts even though he had not allowed an earned run, was in the driver's seat towards his third Carolina League win.
