Oklahoma RedHawks Lose 13-5 to Fresno Grizzlies - AAA, Pacific Coast League

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Oklahoma City - The Oklahoma RedHawks dropped a 13-5 final to the Fresno Grizzlies on Mother's Day at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark.  The RedHawks losing streak was extended to five games as the Grizzlies knocked a season-best 20 base hits in scoring a season-high 13 runs.
Fresno took an early 1-0 lead in the second, added a run in the fourth, and roughed up Oklahoma starter A.J. Murray for three runs in the fifth before the RedHawks plated their first run.  Jason Ellison scored on a double by Marlon Byrd, with Oklahoma on a Major League rehab assignment.  The RedHawks bullpen took over in the sixth and promptly allowed two runs in the sixth and a season-high six runs in the eighth.  Three Oklahoma relievers surrendered eight runs on 11 hits over the game's final four innings.  The RedHawks added their final four runs in the eighth inning.  Byrd and Jason Botts walked to lead off the inning and both scored on a double by Nate Gold, his third of four hits in the game.  Gold scored on a triple by Taylor Teagarden, who subsequently came home on a single by Casey Benjamin to close out the scoring.

Murray (2-1) took the loss in his return to Triple-A after spending a week with the Rangers in the majors.  Fresno starter Brad Hennessey picked up the win in his first start for the Grizzlies, who have won two straight after three consecutive losses entering the series.  The RedHawks five straight losses are a season high, and Oklahoma hasn't held the lead in a contest since game one of Thursday's doubleheader with Sacramento.
