(May 13, 2008) – The Fort Myers Miracle used the power of three on Tuesday night blasting off three different times and used a total of 13 hits leading to a 10-6 win over the Sarasota Reds at Ed Smith Stadium. The Miracle wasted little time in scoring first Tuesday night as a two-out walk to Danny Valencia kept the inning alive and allowed Johnny Woodard to connect on an RBI-double to center for the early one-run lead. A pair of back-to-back three run frames would send the Miracle out to quick a 7-0 lead.

Brian Dinkelman and Rene Tosoni drew a couple of lead-off walks in the third setting the table for Valencia . Valencia came through with a two-run triple to right for a 3-0 advantage. Edward Ovalle would seal off the frame with a sacrifice-fly to center to put the Miracle up four. For the second time in a week, the Miracle picked up back-to-back home runs in the fourth as Tosoni delivered a two-run shot followed by Valencia ’s towering solo-shot to left, his fourth of the season.

A lead-off walk to Todd Frazier would help get the Reds on the board in their half of the fourth as third baseman Juan Francisco belted his first of two blasts on the night with a two-run dinger to center. After a Chris Denove RBI-single finished the Reds fourth, Francisco struck again in the fifth with his second, two-run shot of the night, bringing Sarasota to within two.

The home run derby continued for the Miracle in the sixth as Ovalle picked up his third round-tripper of the season, a two-run bomb to left, for a 9-5 lead. Dinkelman contributed to the offensive output with a RBI-single in the seventh, plating Danny Berg with the tenth run of the night.
