Richmond Braves Defeat Indianapolis Indians 5-3 - AAA, IL

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Indianapolis, IN- The Richmond Braves defeated the Indianapolis Indians 5-3 Wednesday at Victory Field. The Braves get their second win in a row edging out the Indians in a hard fought contest.

 

The Braves scored first on an RBI single by Josh Anderson. A Diory Hernandez RBI single drove in Barbaro Canizares in the fourth to give the Braves a 2-1 lead. Richmond tacked on a run in the sixth off a homerun by Canizares. The Indians scored in the eighth on a Steve Pearce two run double to pull within one run of the Braves.  Derrick Arnold gave the Braves a 4-2 advantage on an RBI single in the ninth. Clint Sammons then scored on a Josh Anderson single. In the bottom of the ninth, Josh Wilson scored on an Adam Boeve double to cap the scoring 5-3.

Francisley Bueno earned the win, throwing for six innings, striking out six and allowing only one walk. Jason Davis took the loss. Jeff Ridgway notched the save.  Sammons, Anderson and Canizares had each two hits for the Braves. Jason Bowers, Wilson and Pearce each had two hits for the Indians.
