Post-game quotes -- INF Josh Wilson
(on his ninth-inning double)
"Being down three runs, I wanted to take a strike. I didn’t want to give anything away. After the count went 2-1, I was just looking for a good pitch to hit. I was expecting a fastball over the middle of the plate. I got one, and put a pretty good swing on it."
(on the Indians fighting back when they fall behind)
"Unfortunately, we haven’t been scoring too many runs lately. We’ve been throwing together some small rallies late in games, but we need to get the bats going much earlier. We’re waiting until our backs are against the wall, and, lately, that’s been too little too late."
(on the performance of RHP Jason Davis)
"Jason (Davis) gave us another great outing today. Three runs in seven innings in a quality start. That’s all you can ask for from your pitcher. Jason was throwing strikes, and he kept getting us to the dugout quickly. We’ll be in good shape the rest of this season if we continue to get quality starts like that."
