Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 04:41PM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – FORT MILL, S.C. – May 14, 2008 – It wasn’t a pretty game at Knights Stadium as the Knights were 18-6 losers to the visiting Syracuse Chiefs. It started out as a good game for the Knights as they had a four run lead entering the 6th inning. Then the floodgates opened.
The Chiefs got all over Charlotte pitching as they scored 7 runs in the 6th inning and 9 runs in the 7th inning. Every player starting player on Syracuse scored a run and all but one got an RBI. Charlotte pitching allowed 17 hits. The 18 runs were the most runs the Knights have allowed in a game since 2004 when they allowed 20.
