Indianapolis Indians and Richmond Braves Duel to a 3-2, 11-Inning Finish

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Indianapolis, IN- The Indianapolis Indians beat the Richmond Braves 3-2 in eleven innings Thursday at Victory Field. The Braves went into extra innings for the fourth time this season but an Andrew McCutchen RBI single in the eleventh spoiled their chance at getting their first extra inning win in 2008.

The Braves took a 1-0 lead in the first on a sacrifice fly by Barbaro Canizares. The Indians answered back in the sixth with an RBI double by Matt Kata followed by a Ty Taubenheim run producing single to take the lead 2-1.  Pinch hitting in the eighth, Joe Borchard hit a homerun, his fourth of the season, to tie the game 2-2 and lead to extra innings. In the eleventh, Neil Walker hit a triple and was then driven in by an Andrew McCutchen single to end the game.
