MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Dayton , Ohio — Matt Klinker tossed seven scoreless innings and Devin Mesoraco drilled his first Midwest League home run as the Dayton Dragons snapped a six game losing streak by defeating the Lansing Lugnuts 5-1 on Monday night. The Dragons win coupled with a loss by West Michigan moved the Dragons back into a tie for first place in the Eastern Division.

Klinker (3-2) allowed only three hits and walked no one while striking out six to earn the win.

The Dragons jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the second inning. Jake Long singled to left to start the rally and Logan Parker was hit by a pitch. Mesoraco reached on an error to load the bases. After Kevyn Feiner popped to third, Keltavious Jones singled to left-center to drive in both Long and Parker to give the Dragons their first lead since Friday night. Justin Reed’s sacrifice fly brought in Mesoraco to make it 3-0.

Mesoraco drilled a one-out home run in the fourth, his first with the Dragons, to make it 4-0. The Dragons scored an unearned run in the seventh before Lansing tallied one in the ninth to close out the scoring.
