Fresno Smacks Bees 6-2 - Box Score and Play-by-Play - AAA, Pacific Coast League
Wednesday, May 21, 2008 at 07:40AM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Salt Lake - 2 Fresno - 6 Box Score attached. - The Fresno Grizzlies took the lead in the first inning and never looked back, as they defeated the Salt Lake Bees 6-2 on Tuesday afternoon. Scott McClain put Fresno in front with a two out run scoring single off Kasey Olenberger. Down 3-0, the Bees scored twice in the fourth on an RBI singles by Dee Brown and Freddy Sandoval, but that would be as close as Salt Lake would get as Fresno put the game away with one run in the sixth and two more in the seventh.
Olenberger (3-3) took the loss, as he allowed four runs, three earned, on six hits with two strikeouts and four walks in five and one-third innings. Brandon Wood led the Bees with two hits, including a double, but Salt Lake took themselves out of several rally attempts by grounding into three double plays. The loss snaps the Bees' five game winning streak over Fresno.
