Rain Causes Suspension of Game Between Colorado Springs Sky Sox and Memphis Redbirds
Saturday, May 3, 2008 at 04:07PM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Memphis, Tenn. – Memphis and Colorado Springs had their game suspended due to rain Friday night at AutoZone Park.
The two teams were tied 1-1 going into the bottom of the third when the rains came. Cory Sullivan’s home run in the top of the first accounted for the Sky Sox run. Memphis later answered with Brian Barden’s RBI-single in the bottom of the first.
The Redbirds and Sky Sox will resume Friday night’s game in the third inning at 1:35 p.m. Sunday. The resumed game will finish the scheduled nine innings. After the resumed game is completed the teams will follow with a game now scheduled for seven innings.
Memphis and Colorado Springs play tomorrow afternoon at 1:05 p.m. Hugo Castellanos gets the ball for the ‘Birds with lefty John Koronka scheduled to go for the Sky Sox.
