The Quakes took an early lead in the third inning on a Rian Kiniry RBI triple to right center to score Flint Wipke to take a 1-0 lead. Peter Bourjos then sent a fly ball to center to score Kiniry to give Rancho a 2-0 lead.

In the top of the fourth, Lancaster got to John Lackey scoring twice to tie the game on a two out, two-run single by Reid Engel. Lackey lasted four innings, allowing two runs on five hits, walked one, hit two batters and struck out four in his final rehab start in Rancho Cucamonga . Howie Kendrick was 2x3 with two singles in three at-bats and played a flawless second base.

The Quakes regained the lead in the seventh against Lancaster reliever TJ Large after a Bourjos double to right center with one out, Tadd Brewer singled to left to put runners on the corners. Anthony Norman then doubled to right center to score Bourjos to give the Quakes a 3-2 lead.

Sean O’Sullivan came in the game in the sixth inning and went four innings of scoreless baseball allowing just three hits and struck out two to earn his fourth win of the season. AJ Ford pitched the fifth inning walking one and striking out one.

With the win, the Quakes took four of six from the JetHawks in the six game, home and home series and are just five games behind the first place Lake Elsinore Storm.
