MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - HOOVER, Ala. - In the rubber game of their five-game series with the Birmingham Barons, the BayBears brought the lumber en route to an 8-4 victory at Regions Park .

Cesar Nicolas was walked by Barons (16-14) starter Brian Omogrosso (1-1) with the bases loaded in the first inning to give the BayBears (15-15) the early lead. A Rusty Ryal sac fly brought home the second run of the frame. In the second, Chris Rahl punched out his second bomb of the season to put the BayBears in front by three.

Three more scored in the third on a double by Orlando Mercado with the bags full. As John Hester slid across the plate, a wild throw by Robbie Hudson brought home Cyle Hankerd to make it 6-0. An RBI double by Ryal and a sac fly by Hester made it 8- 0 in the fourth inning.

Birmingham made a game of it late with a run in the fifth, two unearned runs in the sixth and another in the ninth.
