Norfolk Tides Fall to Indianapolis Indians 9-8 - AAA, IL
Monday, May 5, 2008 at 10:24AM MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Norfolk - Oscar Salazar homered and drove in four, but the Tides could not rally from an early deficit as they fell to the Indianapolis Indians 9-8 Sunday afternoon at Harbor Park.
After the Tides fell behind 8-2 in the 6th, Luis Terrero connected on an RBI double, and Salazar followed with a run-scoring single to make the score 8-4.
After Neil Walker hit a solo homer in the 7th inning to put the Indians up 9-4, the Tides rallied back in the bottom half of the frame. Tike Redman connected on a one-out double, and Brandon Fahey followed by working a walk. After a strikeout, Salazar launched a three-run shot over the left-center field wall, pulling the Tides to within 9-7.

Norfolk added an unearned run in the bottom of the 8th to pull within a run, but Indy closer Marino Salas kept the Tides off the scoreboard in the 9th to earn his second save of the year.
Tides starter Radhames Liz (0-3) took the loss, as he allowed eight runs - six earned - on six hits in six innings of work. The 24-year-old walked five and struck out five, and his ERA after six starts now stands at 5.35.
Jason Davis (2-3) earned the win for the Indians, allowing four runs on three hits in 5.1 innings.
With the loss, the Tides finished their season series with Indianapolis at 1-7.
