Richmond Braves Beat Louisville Bats 5-4 - AAA, IL

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Richmond, VA- The Richmond Braves beat the Louisville Bats 5-4 in 11 innings Sunday at The Diamond.  Josh Anderson’s infield single in the 11th brought Diory Hernandez home to give the Braves their third straight win.
 
The Bats snapped a scoreless tie in the fourth on an RBI single by Drew Anderson.  The Braves tied the game in the fifth when a single by Wes Timmons cashed in a lead-off double by Hernandez.  The Bats took a 4-1 lead in the sixth.  Adam Rosales smacked a home run and Alvin Colina doubled two in.  Richmond again tied the game with three runs in the home half.  Brent Lillibridge doubled Anderson home and Scott Thorman followed with a home run.  Anderson’s RBI single in the 11th gave the Braves their second straight walk-off win.
 
SeatSub Challenge 2008 Contest Zach Schreiber picked up the win.  Todd Coffey took the loss.  The Braves bullpen worked 5.1 innings of scoreless relief.  Hernandez had three hits for Richmond.  Rosales, Drew Anderson, and Andy Phillips had two hits each for the Bats.
 
The Braves open a four game series vs. the Indianapolis Indians Monday at The Diamond at 7 PM.  Chuck James will pitch for Richmond against Ty Taubenheim.
