Lauren Williams is Richmond Braves First Grand Slam Kid - International League

 MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Richmond, VA – FasMart Stores, the Richmond Braves, The Richmond  Times Dispatch, and the Virginia 529 College Savings Plan are  pleased to announce the first monthly winner in the FasMart Grand  Slam Kid promotion. Each month during the Braves season, FasMart  will recognize a student who maintains excellent grades, performs  athletically and gives time and energy to their community through  volunteer efforts. The winner for April is Lauren Williams of  Freeman High School. 
 
 
 
 15 year old Lauren is a Ninth grader at Freeman High School involved  in the Center for Leadership, Government and Global Economics.  Lauren excels academically, having graduated from the International  Baccalaureate program at Moody Middle School and currently  maintaining a 4.5 GPA at Douglas Freeman High School. She is a  member of the Junior Beta Club, has received the Award of Honor from  the Virginia Academy of Science and the President’s Award for  Educational Excellence.
