New Hampshire Fisher Cats Lost to Portland Sea Dogs 10-0 - AA, Eastern League

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Portland, ME- Scott Richmond rebounded from his worst start of the season to pitch six solid innings, and Kyle Phillips led off the third inning with a line-drive double to left-centerfield, but the New Hampshire Fisher Cats lost to the Portland Sea Dogs, 10-0, Wednesday night at Hadlock Field.
 
Michael Bowden, Hunter Jones and Beau Vaughan combined to one-hit New Hampshire (10-21), which was shutout for the first time all season.  Bowden (2-3) earned the win, pitching 6.2 scoreless innings.  The right-hander struck out three and walked one.
 
Mark Wagner went 3-for-4 with a two-run home run in the fourth inning off Richmond and a three-run double off Seth Overbey in the seventh inning, when Portland (19-13) scored four runs.  Aaron Bates (1-for-3, 2B, 2 RBI) added a sacrifice fly in the inning.

In the eighth, Mickey Hall (1-for-4, HR, RBI) hit his third home run of the season, Jeff Corsaletti had an RBI double and Bates was hit by an Overbey pitch with the bases loaded to cap the scoring.
 
Bubba Bell (3-for-4, HR, 3 R, RBI) got the Sea Dogs on the board in the third inning with a solo home run, his fifth, off Richmond.
 
Richmond (2-4) held Portland to three runs on five hits in six innings of work.  He struck out four and walked four.
 
Overbey allowed seven runs on eight hits in 1.2 innings.  He struck out three and walked two.
