Albuquerque Isotopes Take Flight Against Memphis Redbirds in 11-6 Win - Recap and Box Score

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Memphis, Tenn. – Albuquerque came out swinging and crushed Memphis 11-6 Thursday night at AutoZone Park.
 
With left-hander Mark Mulder on the mound for the Redbirds the Isotopes wasted no time putting runs on the board. Albuquerque scored six runs on six hits in the first frame with Lorenzo Scott’s RBI-single capping the rally. All six hits in the inning were singles to go along with a pair of walks. The Albuquerque offense heated up again in the ninth inning, rallying for four more runs off reliever Ron Flores. Four different Isotopes players had multi-hit games with Chase Lambin leading the way with a 4-for-4 night. Scott drove in three runs in the win.
 
Memphis climbed within in a run twice in the game but could not tie it up. Nick Stavinoha led the Redbirds with a pair of hits and three RBI, including a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Colby Rasmus extended his hit streak to 11 games with a single in the first inning.

Mulder took the loss for the ‘Birds after allowing six runs on 10 hits with two walks and three strikeouts. The southpaw threw 86 pitches, 54 strikes. Albuquerque starter Dallas Trahern picked up the win giving up five runs on four hits in five innings. Marc Gwyn earned the save with two scoreless innings of work.
 
The Redbirds and Isotopes conclude their series tomorrow night. Right-hander Matt Clement is scheduled to make his first rehab start for Memphis and face Albuquerque’s Bobby Keppel. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
