Salt Lake Bees Defeat Sacramento River Cats 6-5 - AAA, Pacific Coast League

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Brandon Wood delivered a two out run scoring single in the bottom of the eleventh inning to give the Salt Lake Bees a 6-5 win over the Sacramento River Cats on Tuesday. Chris Walker opened the bottom of the inning with a single to center.  Sean Rodriguez bunted Walker to second and Freddy Sandoval was intentionally walked.  Bret Prinz came in to pitch for Sacramento and struck out Matt Brown, but Wood drilled a 2-0 pitch into center and Walker was able to slide in under the tag of catcher Landon Powell to score the winning run.

 

Henry Bonilla (2-1) worked out of a bases loaded, one out situation in the top of the eleventh to pick up the win.  Salt Lake trailed 5-1 in the fifth, but rallied to tie the game with three runs in the fifth on a two run homer by Sean Rodriguez and a solo shot by Freddy Sandoval and one in the sixth on a bases empty blast by Rodriguez, who had three runs batted in.  Wood had three hits and two RBI for the Bees, while Chris Walker banged out four hits and scored two runs.
