West Virginia Power Roll Over Kannapolis Intimidators 5-2 - A, South Atlantic League
Saturday, June 7, 2008 at 09:38AM MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Kannapolis, NC - Tied up 2-2 heading into the fifth, reliever Santo Luis gave up three runs in 0.1 inning and the Intimidators were unable to muster any more offense in a 5-2 loss at home to West Virginia in front of 3,506 fans at Fieldcrest Cannon Stadium.

The Intimidators received two sacrifice flies (in the second and fourth innings) from Christian Marrero as their only runs of the game.
Down three runs in the ninth frame, Kannapolis started two-out rally with a single from Mark Fleisher and a double from Marrero to bring the tying run to the plate. But Sergio Miranda bounced out to the shortstop to end the game.
Other than Luis, the Intimidators bullpen was great tonight. Tyson Corley twirled 3.2 shutout innings giving just one hit while striking out six. Hector Santiago tossed a perfect inning with two strikeouts.
