MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com – PULASKI, Va.- The Bristol White Sox scored six straight runs to rally past the home standing Pulaski Mariners tonight 6-4. Pulaski took a 3-0 lead after two innings as Bristol tied the game in the sixth with three runs before taking the lead in the eight with a single run and adding insurance in the ninth with two runs.
Pulaski (6-7) started the contest taking the lead in the first inning with a RBI single from Juan Fuentes that plated Anthony Phillips. Fuentes connected on three hits in the contest to lead the Mariners nine hit attack.

ADVERTISEMENT Jermaine Brock added to the Pulaski lead with a two run double to left center that plated Kris Sanchez and Guy Welsh, who both reached via the walk to give the Mariners a three run lead.
Brooks Mohr pitched the first four and two thirds innings for Pulaski before Bristol got to the Mariner right hander. A walk, an infield hit and a hit batsman loaded the bases for Jordan Kendall’s two run double to left center. Juan Silverio added the third run of the inning on a RBI ground out to tie the score at three.
In the eighth, Bristol took the lead when Brandon Short ripped a triple to centerfield and scored on a sacrifice fly off the bat of Jose Vargas. The White Sox added two more runs in the ninth as a dropped fly ball in the outfield led to first run and put Silverio on third to score on Jorge Castillo’s infield single.
Sanchez blasted his second home run of the season for Pulaski to lead off the ninth but the White Sox retired the next three hitters in order to pick up the victory.
John Doyle pitched three innings of scoreless baseball to pick up the victory for Bristol, while Kevin Asselin picked up the save. Nick Czyz took the loss for Pulaski.
The Mariners will be in action tomorrow night hosting the same White Sox in game two of the four game series. It will be civic club night at the ball park.
