New Britain Rock Cats Reward Big Crowd with 5-4 Win over Portland Sea Dogs

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - NEW BRITAIN, Conn. - The Rock Cats played the Portland Sea Dogs this afternoon before a sun-splashed crowd of 5,862 at New Britain Stadium. The Rock Cats rewarded their great fans with an exciting 5-4 victory.

Today’s large gathering – when added to Friday night’s (6,579) and yesterday’s largest single-admission crowd (8,115) in New Britain franchise history - made this three-day (Fri-Sun) span the 4th largest Weekend (Fri-Sun) Attendance of all time.

The three-day Weekend’s Total Attendance was 20,546.

That number exceeds what had been the 4th best 3-Day Weekend Attendance in franchise history (19,421 between June 17 -19, 2005 vs. Altoona), while falling just shy of the 3rd best Weekend Crowd (20,691 vs. Trenton between June 10-12, 2005).
