Columbus Catfish Split Doubleheader with Greensboro Grasshoppers Losing Game One 3-1 and Taking Game Two 2-1 - A, South Atlantic League

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Columbus, GA – The Columbus Catfish (16-7) split the doubleheader against the Greensboro Grasshoppers (8-17) Monday night at Golden Park.  Greensboro won the first game by the score of 3-1, and Columbus won the second game 2-1 over the Grasshoppers.  The Catfish end their series with the Grasshoppers winning 3 out of 4.  All 4 games were played in a 7 inning doubleheader format.

The Catfish did not show much signs of offense in the first game.  They only had 5 hits, and their single run came in the last inning off a solo home run by Mike McCormick with 2 outs. Greensboro put up 2 runs in the 4th inning.  The first run came off a double by Hunter Mense that scored Bryan Petersen, and the second run came off a ground ball by Ryan Curry that allowed Matt Dominquez to score from 3rd base.
