Sacramento River Cats Turn Strong Performance from Kirk Saarloos into 10-1 Win over the Las Vegas 51s

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – West Sacramento, Calif. – Sacramento starter Kirk Saarloos allowed just one earned run in seven innings as the River Cats defeated the Las Vegas 51s, 10-1, in front of a Raley Field crowd of 12,348 on Saturday night. Saarloos improved his record to 8-3 as the right-hander allowed just a single run on six hits and a walk. The River Cats scored five runs on just one hit in the seventh when the 51s allowed five walks, a passed ball and threw three wild pitches in the inning. The River Cats scored three runs in the third inning on Danny Putnam's RBI double and Travis Buck's two-RBI single. Brooks Conrad hit his team-leading 21^st home run of the season with a solo home run in the fifth inning. The River Cats extend their division lead in the Pacific Coast League Pacific South to 7.5 games over second-place Las Vegas.
