Richmond Braves and Buffalo Bisons Split Doubleheader with Bisons Taking Game One 2-1 and Braves Winning Game Two 1-0 - AAA, IL

Buffalo, NY – The Richmond Braves and Buffalo Bisons split a doubleheader Sunday at Dunn Tire Park. The Bisons won the first game 2-1 and the Braves took the nightcap 1-0.
In the first game The Braves took a 1-0 lead in the second inning on a home run by Scott Thorman, his 18th of the season. Thorman became the first Brave to homer in three straight games this season. The Bisons tied the game in the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Jordan Brown. Buffalo scored the winning run in the fifth on an RBI single by Michael Aubrey. John Martin picked up the win. Chuck James took the loss. Thorman and Clint Sammons had two hits for the Braves. Aubrey had two hits for Buffalo.
In the second game Josh Anderson knocked in the only run of the contest with an RBI single in the fifth inning while Brian Lawrence, Phil Stockman, and Jorge Julio combined to shut out the Bisons. Lawrence tossed 5.2 innings, striking out nine to earn the win. Julio picked up a save. David Huff took the loss. Brandon Jones had two hits for the Braves.
