Frederick Keys Shutout for Fifth Time this Season in 10-0 Loss

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Before the Keys registered an out on Tuesday night, they had fallen behind. Myrtle Beach flexed their offensive muscles, scoring four first inning runs to overwhelm Frederick as the Keys fell decisively 10-0.

Keys starter Tim Bascom never had an easy inning. The final blows came on back-to-back fourth inning home runs by Pelicans 3B Eric Campbell and 1B Ernesto Mejia.

All-in-all Keys pitching lalowed ten runs on 13 hits with ten walks and two hit batters.

Frederick had opportunities leaving nine men on base in the contest. They could never break through though going 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position.

The lone Key to have a multi-hit night was 3B Billy Rowell who went 2-for-4 with two singles on the evening.

The Keys finish up their seven-game road trip and season series with Myrtle Beach Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. at BB&T Coastal Field. Jake Arrieta makes his final pre-Olympic start before heading off for the Beijing Summer Games.
