Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees Beat Richmond Braves 4-3 - AAA, IL

Moosic, PA- The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees beat the Richmond Braves 4-3  Tuesday at PNC Field. The Yankees overcame an early deficit with a three run seventh to take the second straight game over the Braves.
 
The Braves took the lead early scoring two in the second off a Barbaro Canizares solo homerun and a Clint Sammons RBI single. The Yankees scored their first run in the sixth on a sacrifice fly by Gregory Porter. The Braves lead held until the seventh when Cody Ransom smashed a two run homerun and an RBI single by Porter drove in three runs for the Yankees, giving them a 4-2 advantage. Canizares grounded out to score Carl Loadenthal in the eighth to cap the scoring 4-3.

J.B. Cox picked up the win. Damian Moss took the loss. Scott Strickland notched a save. Canizares had two hits for the Braves.
 
The two clubs will continue the series Wednesday at 1pm at PNC Field. RHP Anthony Lerew is slated to pitch for Richmond against RHP Juan Aceves.
