Lake Elsinore Storm Topple Lancaster JetHawks 10-4 - Advanced A, California League

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com -

(LANCASTER, CA) – While the Lancaster JetHawks were dominant over the Lake Elsinore Storm in Lake Elsinore, their home struggles against the Storm continue.  The Storm scored steadily Wednesday night while the JetHawks offense faltered as Lake Elsinore defeated Lancaster 10-4.  While the JetHawks have already clinched the season series against the Storm thanks to their road play, they are now just 3-7 against the Storm at Clear Channel Stadium.

Lancaster struck first on a Jason Place double and Daniel Nava RBI single in the first inning.  However, the JetHawks stranded two runners in scoring position and would not strike again until the eighth inning.

Meanwhile, the Storm built a big lead.  They scored four times off starter Chris Jones in the first five innings.  Three JetHawks errors and struggles by reliever Derrick Loop led to six more runs as the Storm took a 10-1 lead in the eighth.

The JetHawks closed the gap in the final two innings.  Chih-Hsien Chiang and Zak Farkes had RBI hits and Jon Still's ground out brought home a run, but it proved too little too late.

Still had a pair of doubles to extend his hitting streak to ten straight games.  Nava had three hits while Felipe Garcia turned in a scoreless inning of relief.

The JetHawks continue a six-game homestand Thursday night against Lake Elsinore.  Tony Bajoczky (5-5) starts for

Lancaster while the Storm counter with Cesar Carrillo (1-3).  The game starts at 7:00 PM.  The radio coverage is broadcast live on Magic 1340 AM and online at www.JetHawks.com.

A fan will have a chance to win $1,000 on Thousand Dollar Thursday presented by Beaven Insurance.  And with Cheers Buck Beers, domestic draught beer will be on sale for $1 through the sixth inning presented by Coach's Sports Bar and Grill.

Individual game tickets for all JetHawks home games, including playoff games, are available in person at the JetHawks Box Office Monday – Friday from 10 AM – 5 PM or Saturdays from 10 AM – 3 PM. Great ticket packages for multiple games are also available starting at just $56 for eight games.  More information can be found on-line at www.JetHawks.com.
