Pulaski Mariners Beat Burlington Royals 3-2 - Rookie SS, Appalachian League

PULASKI, Va.- The Pulaski Mariners ended a three game losing streak with a 3-2 victory over the Burlington Royals at Calfee Park Thursday night.
 
Pulaski (23-13) jumped on the Royals early with a two run first inning.  Juan Fuentes ripped an RBI single before scoring on a Jose Rivero triple to the wall in centerfield.  The Mariners increased the lead to 3-0 when Mario Martinez lifted a fly ball to left to score Deybis Benitez, who had three hits, including two doubles and two runs scored on the evening.
 
Burlington (12-24) plated two runs in the seventh inning on a Jason Morales RBI triple followed by a Yenssi Reyes RBI double.

Fabian Williamson pitched five innings allowing just four hits and no runs while striking out 10 to pick up the victory for Pulaski.  Phillip Roy earned the save.  Carson Bryant was saddled with the loss for Burlington.
