Tulsa Drillers Use Six-Run Inning, Pound Northwest Arkansas Naturals 11-6 - AA, Texas League

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Springdale , AR- The Naturals couldn't rally back as the Tulsa Drillers capitalized on a six run third inning to avoid the sweep, winning by the score of 11-6 Thursday night in front of a crowd of 5,320 at Arvest Ballpark. The loss snapped both Naturals' ten game home winning streak and three game winning streak. The Drillers (17-16, 46-57) broke the game wide open early in the third as they put up a six spot on Naturals. Dexter Fowler put the Tulsa on the board hitting an RBI single to give them the 1-0 lead. Tony Blanco then followed with a 2-run single and Daniel Carte proceeded by knocking the second RBI single of the inning. Corey Wimberly capped off the inning hitting a 2-run double to give Tulsa the early 6-0 lead. They broke the game wide open adding five more runs in the late innings. The Naturals (19-14, 52-51) attempted a little comeback but it wasn't enough to catch the Drillers. Ed Lucas continued his hot hitting in the month of July, going two-for-four, with a triple, home run and two RBI. In the sixth inning Brian McFall hit his thirteenth home run of the season, a three-run shot to left. Kila Kaaihue scored the Naturals final run of the night on an RBI sacrifice fly. On the hill for the Naturals was starter Blake Wood (3-5), who got rocked early and couldn't recover, as he picked up the loss. He went five innings, giving up a nine runs on nine hits, while striking out one and walking four batters. Tulsa 's starting pitcher Brandon Hynick (7-6) picked up the victory. He tossed 6 and 2/3 innings, giving up six runs

on nine hits, striking out five and allowing just one walk. The Naturals will now welcome in the Springfield Cardinals for a four game weekend series.
