Durham leftfielder Chris Richard had the game winning hit.  Richard hit a solo home run off of Knights reliever Scott Sauerbeck in the top of the 9th inning to give the Bulls the win.

The Knights did get a nice performance from Chicago White Sox first baseman Paul Konerko, who joined the club prior to the game on a major league rehab assignment.  Konerko went 2 for 3 with a walk in the game.

The previous stadium record was on July 4th, 2007 when the Knights hosted 15,427 fans.
