Norfolk Tides Edge Richmond Braves 6-4 in 14 Innings - AAA, International League

Richmond, VA – The Norfolk Tides beat the Richmond Braves 6-4 in 14 innings Friday at The Diamond. The Tides rallied back after squandering a three run ninth inning lead to beat the Braves in 14 innings for the second time this season.

The Braves grabbed a 1-0 lead in the fourth on an RBI single by Carl Loadenthal. The Tides scored twice in the sixth to move in front on a two-run single by Jeff Fiorentino following a balk and two walks.  A second balk helped set the stage for a two run homer by Luis Terrero in the eighth that gave the Tides a 4-1 lead.  Richmond tied the game in the ninth on a two-out, three-run home run by Enrique Cruz.  The Tides took advantage of an error to fuel their game winning rally in the 14th.  Tike Redman knocked in the go-ahead run with a single and scored on a double by Eider Torres.
