Cole Armstrong Knocks Out Three Hits in Charlotte Knights 7-3 Win Over Rochester Red Wings

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - FORT MILL , S.C. – July 7, 2008 – For the second night in a row, Charlotte ’s bats came alive against Rochester in a 7-3 victory over the Red Wings at Knights Stadium. Good pitching and a break out night for Cole Armstrong helped win the game for the Knights.
Knight’s catcher Cole Armstrong had a break out night where he went 3-4 with two RBIs. Armstrong, who joined the Knights a few weeks from Double-A, got his 6th RBI of the season with the Knights.
Charlotte ’s Noah Hall hit his first home run as a Knight. Hall’s blast came in the 7th off of Red Wings pitcher Casey Daigle.
D.J. Carrasco (1-1, 2.38) was credited with the win tonight. Carrasco came into the game in the 7th inning and finished the game allowing only one hit off of ten batters.
The Charlotte Knights are the Triple-A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox.
