Salt Lake Bees Rally in Bottom of the Ninth to Defeat the Tacoma Rainiers, 3-2

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com- Jordan Czarniecki drove in the winning run with a two single in the bottom of the ninth inning, as the Salt Lake Bees rallied for a 3-2 win over the Tacoma Rainiers on Monday night.  Tacoma broke a 1-1 tie in the top of the ninth on a solo home run by Shawn Garrett off of Matt Wilhite, but with one out in the bottom of the ninth Dee Brown legged out a double to left field.  After Brandon Wood walked, Ben Johnson singled home Brown to tie the game.  Adam Pavkovich grounded into a fielder's choice to advance Wood to third and he came home with the game winner on Czarniecki's soft liner into centerfield.

Wilhite (4-0) picked up the win, as he allowed just one run in two innings.  Starter Giancarlo Alvarado tossed seven strong innings, as he allowed just four hits and one unearned run with seven strikeouts and four walks.  Johnson, who was just called up from double-A Arkansas earlier in the day, had two hits and two runs batted in, while Matt Brown and Dee Brown each added two hits.
