Lancaster JetHawks Rip Lake Elsinore Storm 5-1 - Advanced A, California League

MLN - THE RAW FEED - www.mlntherawfeed.com - LAKE ELSINORE, CA – The JetHawks sent a couple of balls out of the Diamond early and let the pitching take things the rest of the way Tuesday night in Lake Elsinore.  Tony Bajoczky gave Lancaster another strong performance, limiting the Storm to just one run with the help of two relievers as the JetHawks defeated the Storm 5-1.  The win gives Lancaster three straight and gets their season record back to .500 at 44-44.

A couple of long home runs gave Lancaster all they needed early as Lars Anderson hit his 12th home run and Chih-Hsien Chiang hit his 7th.  After that the JetHawks pitching dominated.  Shaking off a touch-and-go first inning, Bajoczky settled in to retire 12 consecutive Storm batters.  He allowed just one run in six innings to earn his fourth win (4-3).

The bullpen did their share as well.  Bryce Cox retired all six batters he faced over two innings and Derrick Loop turned in a scoreless frame in the ninth to close the game out.  Offensively, both Anderson and Chiang had two hits.  Chiang is now working on his longest hitting streak of his career, up to 12

games.  Luis Exposito also had two hits and a RBI while Jon Still helped seal the win with a two-run triple in the eighth inning.

The JetHawks continue a four-game road trip Wednesday morning against Lake Elsinore.  Blake Maxwell (2-4) starts for Lancaster while the Storm counter with Drew Miller (7-4).  The game starts at 11:08 AM.  The radio coverage is broadcast live on Magic 1340 AM and online at www.JetHawks.com starting at 11:00.

The JetHawks Clubhouse Show will air at its regular time Wednesday afternoon from 5-6 PM.  Guests include JetHawks manager Chad Epperson, All-Star relief pitcher Richie Lentz, and former Major League pitcher and current Red Sox minor league sports psychology coach Bob Tewksbury.

Individual game tickets for all JetHawks home games, including playoff games, are available in person at the JetHawks Box Office Monday – Friday from 10 AM – 5 PM or Saturdays from 10 AM – 3 PM. Great ticket packages for multiple games are also available starting at just $56 for eight games.  More information can be found on-line at www.JetHawks.com.
