Oklahoma RedHawks of PCL Host Bricktown Showdown Featuring Bobby Murcer

Oklahoma City - As the regular season comes to a close, the Oklahoma RedHawks are proud to host the Bricktown Showdown at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark on Tuesday, Sept. 16.   This year marks the Triple-A Championship Game’s third consecutive stop in Oklahoma City.  
 
In addition to a nationally televised game, star studded promotions and new title sponsor, this year will prove to be most memorable.   To reflect upon and honor the life of a former Oklahoman and brilliant baseball player, a special presentation of the Baseball America Bobby Murcer MVP Award will presented to the most valuable player of the championship game.  The inaugural award is to be presented by the Murcer family as well as Baseball America.

A press conference will be held on Friday, September 5 at 3:30 p.m. near the Bobby Murcer bust on Mickey Mantle Drive at AT&T Bricktown Ballpark to announce title sponsor and introduce the Bobby Murcer MVP Award.  Guests include:  Bob Funk, Scott Pruitt and Kay Murcer.
