Augusta Lynx Use First Period Burst To Spear South Carolina Stingrays 4-2 - ECHL

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Augusta , GA The Augusta Lynx rode a three-goal first period to a 4-2 win over the South Carolina Stingrays on Tuesday night at the James Brown Arena. Dirk Southern, Sean Blanchard, and Louis Goulet all recorded markers in the opening frame to boost the Lynx to the 3-0 lead after 20 minutes of play. South Carolina clawed their way back into the contest, scoring once in the second period and then at 4:21 of the third period to make it a 3-2 game.

The Lynx fought back and regained their two goal advantage when Garrett Bembridge added the insurance for Augusta , taking a Shane Hynes feed and beating Davis Parley for his third of the year at 10:11 . Dave McKee made 24 saves in the game to earn his 10th win of the year for the Lynx, while Parley finished with 32 stops in the loss.
