Fresno, Calif. – Oren Eizenman scored a pair of third period goals to lift the Fresno Falcons past the Utah Grizzlies 4-2 on Sunday in front of 2,833 fans at Save Mart Center.

Fresno opened the scoring 7:01 into the first period. Luke Curtin split two Utah defenders at the Grizzlies blue line, and skated in on a goaltender Mike Mole, beating him to the stick side for his third goal of the season.

Mat Quinn’s first pro goal at 10:38 doubled Fresno’s lead. Daryl Marcoux fed Quinn skating into the Utah zone, and his shot from the right-wing circle beat Mole high to the glove side making it 2-0.

A Utah power-play goal at 14:01 of the opening period cut the Falcons’ lead to one. Andy Sertich took a shot from the left point which was deflected by Keith Johnson at the hash marks for his ninth goal of the year.

The Grizzlies tied the game 4:13 into the second period. Olivier Labelle skated into the Fresno zone, and beat Kris Mayotte from the left-wing circle for his third goal of the season.

Eizenman put the Falcons ahead for good with a power-play tally 6:56 into the final period. Jarrett Konkle moved the puck to Eizenman on the near post, and he was able to deflect the puck out of midair past Mole for his sixth of the year.

The rookie then set the final at 16:31, beating Mole to the near post for a wraparound goal to make it 4-2.
