Las Vegas Wranglers Blank Phoenix RoadRunners 4-0, Goalie Kevin Lalande Earns First Professional Shutout

Las Vegas, NV - The Las Vegas Wranglers defeated the Phoenix RoadRunners 4-0 on Sunday night in front of 3,763 fans at the Orleans Arena. Goalie Kevin Lalande stopped all 18 shots he faced in his Wranglers debut for his first pro shutout. Second-year Wrangler Ryan Donally scored two power-play goals in the team’s eighth straight win. Winger Shawn Limpright scored a goal in his return from a ten-game absence due to injury. Right wing Brandon Kaleniecki scored his fifth goal of the season in the team’s fourth straight win over Phoenix this season. Las Vegas will host Bakersfield at 7:05 pm on Tuesday night.
In the first period, right wing Shawn Limpright poked in a rebound for his second goal of the season. Chris Ferraro set up the goal at 9:24, giving Las Vegas a 1-0 lead after one period of play.
In the second period Las Vegas erupted for three power-play goals to take a commanding 4-0 lead. Ryan Donally tallied a power-play goal at 7:36 and 10:21 to push the Wranglers lead to 3-0. At 12:07, Brandon Kaleniecki redirected a Mike Madill shot for the 4-0 final.
The Wranglers continue their six-game home stand with Bakersfield on Tuesday, November 27th at 7:05 pm. Las Vegas will host Idaho for a three-game set starting on Thursday at 9:30 am.
