Dominic Osman Of The New Mexico Scorpions Stings His Way To Oakley CHL Player Of The Week Honors

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – RIO RANCHO, N.M.—Scorpions forward Dominic Osman has been named the Oakley CHL Player of the Week. This is the first time a Scorpion has been honored with an award this season.

Osman notched a pure hat trick, scoring all three goals in the first period, in Saturday’s 10-0 win against Rocky Mountain. The Dearborn, Michigan, native also chipped in an assist on the four-point night. In addition, he set a CHL season high with a +5 plus/minus rating.

“It is a great feeling to win an award so early in my career,” said Osman. “My teammates should share this award with me for the great weekend we had on the ice.”

Tuesday night, Osman started his week by scoring two goals and an assist against Odessa. Overall, the 6-foot forward is second on the Scorpions with 10 points (7G, 3A).

“Great performance this week, he really rose to the occasion all three games,” said head coach Randy Murphy. “We are expecting him to build on the good start he has had.”
