PRINCETON, N.J. – Craig Kowalski of the Gwinnett Gladiators is the Rbk Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for Dec. 3-9.

The Clinton Township, Mich. native was 2-0-0 with a 1.50 goals-against average and a .956 save percentage as the Gladiators went 2-0-0 against Florida to move into second place in the South Division.

After making 28 saves in a 3-1 win against Florida on Dec. 6, the 26 year old stopped 37 shots in a 4-2 win on Dec. 7 against the Everblades.

The 5-foot-8 and 190-pound Kowalski is on a three-game winning streak in which he has a goals-against average of 1.62 and a save percentage of .952. He is 10-3-1 and tied for second in the ECHL in wins while ranking eighth with a .925 save percentage and ninth with a 2.34 goals-against average in 14 games.

Selected in the eighth round (235th overall) by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2000 National Hockey League Draft, Kowalski played three seasons for the Florida Everblades and was 54-25-10 with five shutouts and a 2.72 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage in 101 games.
