MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – PORT HURON, MICH. – The Port Huron Flags used the final frame to their advantage, rallying from a 1-0 deficit to beat the conference and league leading Muskegon Fury, 2-1, on Wednesday night.

Muskegon hopped on the board first, when Kevin Cooper found the net behind Dustin Traylen at 13:51 in the initial frame. Assisted by Philippe Plante and Todd Robinson, it was the only marker of the first two periods. At the end of both sessions, the home squad had outshot the visitors, 22-20.

Momentum swung in the third, when Scott Wray picked up his fifth goal as a Flag, and thirty-fourth of the season. Chris Bogas picked up the assist at 6:23, as Port Huron tied the game and fired up the 1,695 fans. Nearly eight minutes later, the Flags struck again, when Wray set up Greg Bullock with a perfect pass. Bullock buried the shot from inside the far circle. At 13:40, Port Huron took the lead and refused to look back from there.

Traylen stopped 34 of 35 shots to record his twentieth win of the season, while Clayton Pool made 25 of 27 saves in the loss. Bullock, Wray and Traylen were named AT&T’s First, Second and Third Stars of the Game, respectively.
