QUAD.jpgMLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - LAKE ST. LOUIS , MO --- Exactly one week after Mike Modano of the NHL’s Dallas Stars broke Joe Mullen’s all-time record for NHL goals by an American-born player, Don Parsons of the United Hockey League’s (UHL) Quad City Mallards passed Mullen to become the all-time American-born goal scoring leader. Parsons scored a goal in the final minute of a 5-2 loss against the Flint Generals on Saturday night. The goal was his 38th of the season and the 623rd of his professional career, one more than Mullen’s professional total.

A 38-year-old native of Boston, Massachusetts, Parsons is one of three American-born players to have scored 600 professional goals, and he trails Kevin Kerr (677 goals), head coach of the Flint Generals, by only 54 goals for first on the all-time minor league goal scoring list.
