MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – SPRINGFIELD, Mass. … The American Hockey League announced today that Hartford Wolf Pack center Jarkko Immonen has been named the CCM Vector/AHL Player of the Week for the period ending April 8, 2007. Immonen found the scoresheet in each of his four games last week, totaling four goals and three assists for seven points as Hartford clinched a Calder Cup Playoff berth for the 10th consecutive year.

Immonen began the week with two assists as the Wolf Pack posted a 7-4 win over Portland on Wednesday night, ending the Pirates’ five-game winning streak. He assisted on Hartford’s only goal in a 4-1 loss at Worcester on Friday, then scored in the Pack’s 4-3 shootout defeat to Springfield on Saturday. Immonen then recorded his first hat trick of the season, scoring three consecutive goals to lead Hartford to a 5-1 win over Albany on Sunday afternoon.

In recognition of his achievement, Immonen will be presented with an etched crystal award prior to an upcoming Wolf Pack home game.

A native of Rantasalmi , Finland , Immonen ranks fifth on the Wolf Pack in scoring with 45 points (20g, 25a) in 52 games this season. He has also appeared in 14 NHL games with the New York Rangers this season, recording one goal and five assists. Immonen, who turns 25 next week, notched 30 goals and 40 assists for 70 points in 74 games for Hartford in 2005-06. He was acquired by the Rangers from Toronto in the Mar. 3, 2004 , trade that sent Brian Leetch to the Maple Leafs.
