MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Fort Wayne, IN --- The Komets have 3 games remaining in 2006-07 and find themselves 3 points behind Muskegon in the race for the Tarry Cup and 3 points ahead of Rockford in the battle for the Western Conference title. This final week of the UHL season will be needed to determine who grabs the regular season championship and who can claim bragging rights for the West.

Last week the Komets won all 3 games played extending their win streak to 4 games while earning 6 points and improving to 48-21-4 for 100 points on the season. It's the third time in 8 UHL seasons the Komets have reached the 100-point mark.

The Komets started last week's slate with a 6-2 victory at Flint. Friday the Komets turned back the Generals 6-4 in Fort Wayne to give the K's a 6-1-0 season series win over Flint. Saturday the Komets earned their 5th straight win over the Hounds 3-2 in a shootout and claimed the season series 8-3-0.
