Canadian Hockey League Names Pierre-Cedrick Labrie of the Drakkar Baie-Comeau CHL Player of the Week

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com - Toronto - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that forward Pierre-Cedrick Labrie of the Drakkar Baie-Comeau is the CHL Player of the Week for the week ending April 1, 2007. Labrie recorded five goals including two game-winners and four assists for nine points in four playoff games.

On Tuesday, March 27th, Labrie scored one goal and one assist leading Drakkar to a 5-3 victory and a 2-1 series lead versus Victoriaville Tigres. The following night, Labrie exploded for four goals and two assists for six points as Drakkar won 9-2 and took a 3-1 series lead. Labrie was awarded the games first star for his performance. On Friday, March 30th, Labrie added one assist despite losing 5-4 in overtime. Labrie tallied one goal and one assist in a 5-4 victory on Sunday, April 1st as Drakkar Baie-Comeau closed out their first-round series in six games. Labrie was chosen as the first star of the game for the second time in the series.
