MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Omaha, NE – Curtis McElhinney made twelve saves for his seventh shut out of the season to lead the Ak-Sar-Ben Knights in a 1-0 victory over the San Antonio Rampage. The Knights have now won three straight games, all by one goal.

Carsen Germyn would get the only goal of the game scoring with 1:42 remaining in the first period. Andrei Taratukhin put a shot on goal from the point that Rampage goaltender Josh Tordjman knocked down. Dustin Boyd whacked at the puck but was unable to beat Tordjman. The rebound bounced to Germyn who fired home the power play goal. It was his team-leading 28th goal of the year.

That would be all the support that McElhinney would need as the Rampage would muster only one shot in the second period and four in the third. San Antonio came close to tying the game in the second period, only to have a Ryan Flinn slap shot ring off the right post.

The Knights are now 46-24-4-1. The Knights remain in first place in the West Division, two points ahead of the Chicago Wolves who won at Milwaukee.

Three Stars: 1. Carsen Germyn (OMA) – Game-winning goal; 2. Josh Tordjman (SAN) – 32 saves; 3. Cam Cunning (OMA).
