Torrie Jung Of The Kelowna Rockets Is The Bets Goalie Of The Week In The Canadian Hockey League

MLN Newswire - www.mlntherawfeed.com – Toronto, ON - The Canadian Hockey League today announced that Torrie Jung of the Kelowna Rockets is the ADT CHL Goaltender of the Week after posting three wins with a 1.00 goals against average and .960 save percentage in three games last week.

The 18-year-old native of Nanaimo, BC made 33 saves in a 4-1 win over the Chilliwack Bruins on New Year’s Eve and followed up with 17 saves in a 4-1 win over the Vancouver Giants on Wednesday. He finished the week with 22 saves in a 6-1 win over the Kamloops Blazers on Sunday. Jung improved to 8-5-0-3 on the season with a 2.45 goals against average and .902 save percentage in 18 games.

Chris Carozzi of the Mississauga St. Michael’s Majors was the OHL nominee after posting a 2-1-0-0 record with two shutouts, a 0.98 goals against average and .953 save percentage in three games. Pier-Olivier Pelletier of the Halifax Mooseheads was the QMJHL nominee after posting a 2-0-0-0 record with a 1.44 goals against average and .947 save percentage.
